I almost didn’t have a WIP to post today, which is totally strange for me. But it’s not yet midnight here and I’ve got a new project started, so here it is!
Socks
First Ever Socks!
I finally finished my first ever socks. Well, first ever adult-sized socks. I made 4 minisocks a few years ago, but I have never made adult-sized socks or even a Christmas stocking before. I started these socks in October 2013, and they have been sitting in my UFO (unfinished object) pile since November 2013, awaiting a new bind-off and afterthought heels.
August 2014 Preview
I know we are a week into the month, but there’s still 3 more weeks to go, so I’m still calling this a preview! August is a HPKCHC break month. I use break months to finish anything that is lingering from the end of term and get all my plans made for the beginning of the next term. Chris and I are vacationing the last week of August (heading to New Jersey to visit his mother), so I need to plan for some portable projects that I can bring with me on that trip.
July 2014 Preview
My original July 2014 plans were make a bunch of granny squares and finish the spinning for my OWL. Thank goodness! Since June was such a dismal failure, July has inherited June’s cast offs and I do not have to bump anything off my project list.
June 2014 Preview
Among the many reasons I love HPKCHC is that it pushes me to plan like this. I get a lot more crafting done when I plan it out like this than I do during those times when I do not make such detailed plans.I’ve taken a couple days to review what I finished in May and look at my original plans for June. I tweaked my project list a little, and have planned a rough schedule for this month’s crafting. It is a little different than my original June plans, but it is pretty close!
