I almost didn’t have a WIP to post today, which is totally strange for me. But it’s not yet midnight here and I’ve got a new project started, so here it is!
MAPLE LEAF the Third and MAPLE LEAF the Fifth
I finally finished MAPLE LEAF the Third! It took a while to weave in all those ends, but I got it done. I finished MAPLE LEAF the Fifth also and blocked the two shawls yesterday.

I have been working on MAPLE LEAF shawls this week. Nothing but MAPLE LEAF shawls. No progress on the Granny Square Blanket or on the spinning. All MAPLE LEAF, all the time.

When I started spinning last April, I did something I almost never do: I went into it blind. I love research. I’m the person who reads and reads and learns the nuances of something before I dive in and start doing it. I knew I wanted to learn to spin, so when I went to The Fiber Event in Greencastle, I planned to try out wheels so I could start to get an idea which wheel I liked best. I did not expect to buy a wheel, but that’s exactly what I did. I spun a little bit with almost no instruction, then started looking for resources to learn more.
