I’m in San Francisco this week, vacationing while Chris is attending a conference for work. I’m having a wonderful time exploring this city. I’ve been getting a little knitting done too!

Heirloom Knitting
Today is my husband’s 50th birthday. In honor of this occasion, I am very excited to share with you some of my most treasured possessions: the layette hand knit for Chris by his Aunt Lena. My mother-in-law saved these items all these years, and gifted them to me last year because she knew that I would appreciate them not only because they were Chris’s as a baby, but also because of the skill and workmanship so apparent in these pieces.
WIP Wednesday: August 27, 2014
I am away from home this week, but I do have knitting with me, of course! This week’s post brought to you by MAPLE LEAF everything.
WIP Wednesday: August 20, 2014
I almost didn’t have a WIP to post today, which is totally strange for me. But it’s not yet midnight here and I’ve got a new project started, so here it is!
MAPLE LEAF the Third and MAPLE LEAF the Fifth
I finally finished MAPLE LEAF the Third! It took a while to weave in all those ends, but I got it done. I finished MAPLE LEAF the Fifth also and blocked the two shawls yesterday.
