Last week was the week of all the appointments. Most weeks, I only leave the house a couple times, mostly for errands. But last week, I was out every day and for 3 of those days I was out of the house for the entire day. I did get crafting done and turned in for HPKCHC classes by the end of the month, but I did not write blog posts on my crafting. The completed crafting included two more MAPLE LEAF Shawls.

WIP Wednesday: September 24, 2014
I’ve got a lot of projects in process right now! I haven’t quite finished the ones I already had on the needles and I’ve started a few new projects.
WIP Wednesday, September 17, 2014
This morning I had a routine doctor’s appointment. After the appointment, I scheduled another appointment for October 1. The receptionist repeatedly said, “August 1,” even after I clarified that she meant October. This happened at least 3 times. It was confusing me, but at the same time I understand her perspective. How can it possibly be September? And halfway through September? And a Wednesday again? The good news is that I’ve gotten a lot of knitting done this week. Seven hours on a plane meant lots of progress on my socks. I can never sleep on a plane, and my seat was the only one in my visual range with the overhead light on for our red-eye home from San Francisco!
August 2014 Wrap Up
Since I’ve basically been on vacation for the last 3 weeks, I never posted a wrap up post for August! HPKCHC break months are always a little odd for me. I push hard to finish projects during term, and am glad to have a bit of a breather during the break month. At the same time, I want to clean up anything left from the last term and prepare for the upcoming term. This particular break month skewed more towards the taking a breather and less towards cleaning up and preparing!
HPKCHC Fall 2014 Term
I did not do in-depth planning for the upcoming term, like I usually do during the break month. We are two weeks into the term already. I need a plan! If you aren’t familiar with the Harry Potter Knit Crochet House Cup, or would like a reminder on how it works, visit my HPKCHC Spring 2014 Term blog post, which describes the game in detail.
